Overview
Each level of staff constitutes a different rank, and each rank has a different set of responsibilities which define what a staff member can and cannot do on HVRP. Most facets of the staff position require members to deal with priority site administration:
- Approving/Denying Custom Characters
- Approving/Denying Custom Creations
- Facilitating Shop Transactions/Ryo Transfer
- Training Points
- Creating/Overseeing Events and Interactive Missions
Along with these site-oriented tasks, they are also the members who answer all Complaints, Comments, and Concerns in the Support Area.
There are certain staff positions which only hold sway in their respective villages. These Staff positions cannot be applied for, and do not have the responsibilities listed above.
- KAGE A Kage (影; Literally meaning "Shadow") is the leader of one of the Hidden Villages and generally are also the most powerful ninja in their respective villages. If a Kage has held their position for several decades, younger ninja are likely to have become stronger than they are. In such cases, the Kage may retire and the title is bestowed upon someone else; the title, once granted, is held permanently. This creates a case where there are two Kage at the same time, with only one of them actually active. Kage's are in charge of their respective Hidden Village, must maintain its strength, economy, and activity level, and are responsible for giving others incentives to join. If a Kage retires or dies, an election is held within the village, and the village decides who will be Kage. Currently, Kage cannot be applied for and are chosen by staff until membership picks up.
- RP TEACHER Role Play Teachers have a very simple responsibility, they help members on the site become better Role-Players and better battlers, often setting up Instruction Areas in the Battle Stadium board.
At all times, HVRP seeks to maintain a certain level of staff. Listed below are the maximum number of each staff position allowed, as well as a brief description of that positions responsibilities.
- Administrator

Oversee's all site activities, and maintains top level of authority over the running of all of HVRP. The Rule-maker. - Lieutenant Administrator

Assist the Administrator in the running of all site functions. - Board Administrator
Current Positions Taken: 1 kurei
Current Positions Available: 0
Maintains the coding, graphics, and actual mechanical functioning of the board, fixes glitches, creates new themes, the genius behind its actual up-keep. Makes things run smoothly. - Global Moderator

Current Positions Available: 0
Considered Internal Affairs, investigates all instances of supposed Staff Wrongdoing. Is 'in charge', for lack of a better term, of all Board Moderators. - Moderator

Perform IC/OOC site administration. Main Responsibilities are:

In Addition to these responsibilities, MODERATORS, ONLY MODERATORS, are considered Battle Moderators as well, and will oversee all non-battle-stadium IC fights and can approve IC deaths/looting/etc. - Assistant

Assigned to specific moderators, assist in all moderator functions. Including:

Accepting/Denying Applications
- One Admin, and two Moderators must accept an application for it to be approved. Sairin and Taiken have the ability to veto the necessity of other votes in order to make someone staff. While 3 votes are needed to accept an application, only two are necessary to deny it. If Sairin or Taiken says NO, it counts as both votes. DO NOT REQUEST SAIRIN OR TAIKEN TO VOTE ON YOUR APPLICATION UNLESS YOU ARE PREPARED TO ACCEPT THEIR JUDGEMENT.
Application Rules
- Rule One: A Member must be a Month Old in order to Apply
- Rule Two: Must know all Rules and Regulations of Site
- Rule Three: Must have an accepted character in play.[
- Rule Four: Must not be one who gives Staff a Hard time. This means No warnings for a Month.
- Rule Five: If you were denied once before, then you are unable to apply again for Fourteen Days. If you were however denied twice within those fourteen days, you will be capable of re-applying in thirty days.
- Rule Six: In Applications you must give out at least Five Links of previous RPs. This means Training, Rping, and no Out of Character debates, or information dealing with Out of Character.
- Rule Seven: If you are a regular Member, you may only apply for Assistant for Staff. You may not apply for Moderator unless you have experience into being a Staff Member within the site. We will go over your last fifty posts to see if you are actually helping others on the site, or causing more problems than you solve.
- Rule Eight: Must be Fourteen or older. If you are older then Thirteen fine, if you are younger then thirteen you must be capable of having Dialog in the writing world equivalent to that of a High Schooler. (This means decent writing skills. Capitalize when needed. Periods, commas, not perfect but legible)
- Rule Nine: Optional If you can get a Staff Member to vouch for you, you have a much better shot of getting your application accepted. This includes Assistants and Kages. Head Staff will consult with those who've vouched for you and determine if it is legitimate.
o ONLY STAFF ARE ALLOWED TO POST IN STAFF APPLICATIONS. ALL OTHER MEMBERS RECEIVE AN AUTOMATIC WARNING.
o NO PM'S OR COMPLAINT THREADS ASKING ABOUT YOUR APPLICATION, UNLESS THEY ARE SENT TO SAIRIN OR TAIKEN. WARNING: IF YOU SEND THEM A PM, THEY WILL CHECK YOUR APPLICATION AND GIVE AN INSTANT VERDICT. YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED.

The only case where exceptions to following any of these rules is acceptable, is if Sairin or Taiken posts within your application and gives the O.K. DO NOT PM THEM TO DO THIS UNLESS YOU ARE PREPARED TO ACCEPT AN INSTANT DENIAL.
