Primary Weapons Shop
Across all five great nations and even along the minor countries, Weapons can quite literally be found everywhere. Virtually every shop sells them, and there also Weapons Specific shops, usually set up outside AND inside hiddden villages. Weapons Shops are specialized, and as such, might not carry the same items as Clothing Shops, Hospitals, Puppeteer, or Instrument Shops. Within each shop, different versions of each weapon type can be found.
Katana
Rank: C
Weapon Type: Blade
Size: from 60-73cm (23.6-28.7in)
Effect: Hand-held, piercing, slashing, stabbing, cutting
Special: The katana (刀?) is a type of Japanese sword (日本刀, nihontō?), also commonly referred to as a "samurai sword". In the strictest sense, the term katana in Japanese is applied to any kind of single-edged sword, of any origin; contrary to common belief outside Japan, the Japanese word does not necessarily refer to a Japanese sword. But incorrectly or habitually, some Japanese and Western sword lovers define katana as the standard size moderately curved (as opposed to the older "tachi" style featuring more curvature) Japanese sword with a blade length of greater than 60 cm (23.6 inches).
The katana is characterized by its distinctive appearance: a curved, slender, single edged blade, circular or squared guard, and long grip to accommodate two hands. It has historically been associated with the samurai of feudal Japan, and has become renowned for its sharpness and cutting ability.

Cost: 1,500 Ryo
Nodachi
Rank: C
Weapon Type: Blade
Size: 165-178cm (65-70in)
Effect: Two Handed, Slashing, Piercing, Stabbing, Cutting
Special: A nodachi (野太刀:のだち?) is a large two-handed Japanese sword. Nodachi approximately translates to "field sword". Nodachi have the same general appearance and design of a tachi though they are significantly longer. The nodachi was carried by foot soldiers and was designed as a weapon for war versus cavalry and open field engagements. Nodachi were generally used on open battlefields as their length made their use indoors or close quarters difficult. They were an effective weapon against cavalry, though they were not commonly used. Foot soldiers would carry the sword with the flat edge against the shoulder and the fuchi, or butt of the tsuka, in the palms of the hands and the blade facing out toward the enemy.
Restrictions: Main Weapon
Cost: 4,000 Ryo
Ōdachi
Rank: C
Weapon Type: Blade
Size: 165 -178cm (65-70in)
Effect: Two Handed, Slashing, Piercing, Stabbing, Cutting
Special: An ōdachi (大太刀?), meaning "great big sword", was a type of long Japanese sword. It is historically known as ōtachi. The character for ō (大) means "big" or "great". The characters for da (太) and chi (刀) are the same as tachi (太刀, lit. "big sword"), the older style of sword/mounts that predate the katana. The chi is also the same character as katana (刀) and the tō in nihontō (日本刀 "Japanese sword"), originally from the Chinese character for a knife, dāo. To qualify as a ōdachi, the sword in question must have a blade length over 3 shaku (a little under a metre). Regardless of size, most ōdachi have religious inscriptions on the tang. However, as with most terms in Japanese sword arts, there is no exact definition of the size of an ōdachi.
